More Paris Day 2

We walked from the Orangerie, by the Seine and back to the Concorde Metro Station. It's one of my favourites with it's Word Search tiles; homme, innocent, coupable . . . And then we climbed Montmarte - 350 steps from Abbbesses Metro station, flights of stairs ( another 300 or so steps) and then the steps up to Sacre Coeur. We looked around the basilica, used the loo at Starbucks, looked for the last vineyard in Paris and bumped into Fr Galvin who was on a choir tour. We decided to stay for dinner on the butte and mine was not particularly good but the girond told me that it Was the menu touristique and asked "What did you expect?!" Maybe something edible.

More steps down, another Metro ride and we were back at Avenue de Clichy and the hotel. After 15 km and 10:00 at night, Maggie got the chance to relax.
